How to:

Set a Goal for your company, (the entire goal for this campaign is a minimum of 2000 backpacks filled with school supplies), think realistically. We want you to succeed especially if this is the first time you're participating.

Schedule specific dates to run your campaign. We suggest a two week period in either July or August (school supplies, lunchboxes and backpacks are featured in stores during this time). All backpacks are distributed the last week in August to children by Crayons for Kids.

What to collect: Visit our Shopping List for your convenience. Make copies and distribute it to your coworkers. Monetary donations can also be made and our staff will do the shopping for you (a receipt will be provided for all monetary donations collected).

Go Shopping and Have Fun. Remember what you are doing will give a child a positive start the beginning of the school year! Have coworkers involve family, friends and perhaps other groups they belong too. The more backpacks collected the more children you help.

Collection Point: Identify one key person to be in charge of collecting the donated items. Backpacks should be filled with at least 4 items and labeled if Possible. Example: .Boy, grade 8., .Girl, Pre-K., .Girl, grade 5, .Boy, grade 3.

Inventory your results: The total amount of items collected should be tallied, tell your coworkers the results.

Contact Cheryl at Crayons for Kids to let us know when you.ll be dropping off your School Supplies . (Remember we distribute the backpacks the last week of August, so PLEASE HAVE YOUR SUPPLIES TO US BEFORE THEN.

Thank everyone for participating!
